Product Marketing Manager
At Yabie we are building the next generation of POS systems to help merchants grow. We simplify payments so our customers can focus on what matters most – running their business!
Yabie is growing fast on two fronts: directly with SMB merchants in Sweden, and through partners — acquirers, PSPs, ISVs, and banks — across the globe. What we need is the marketing infrastructure to drive growth in our direct channel, support merchants across their lifecycle, and package and position our partner offering.
This is our first dedicated product marketing hire. You’ll be building most of this from scratch.
The Core of the Job
Know the offering per vertical. Yabie empowers merchants in food & drink, retail and services. Each has different pain points and different reasons for choosing a POS system. You need a deep understanding of what Yabie does for each — at a feature level, but even more so at the level of problems solved and jobs done.
Know how to package the message. You’ll build messaging that connects product to audience. Sometimes product-out (we’ve built something, now translate it into value). Sometimes market-in (customers are telling us what they care about, make sure we speak to it). The best messaging does both at once.
Create the collateral. You’ll turn that messaging into materials for three audiences: our own sales team and Swedish merchants, smaller regional partners who need ready-made tools to pitch Yabie, and large strategic partners where materials need to work at scale — both for their merchant-facing sales and for our team making the commercial case to the partner itself.
Be the commercial voice inside the product team. You’ll sit within the product team. Part of your value is identifying messaging opportunities within the product itself and making sure usage data informs how we communicate with merchants.
What You’ll Spend Your Time On
Merchant Lifecycle & Growth — You own the commercial messaging per lifecycle stage: acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, expansion. Marketing owns the lifecycle strategy; you provide the substance.
Packaging & Pricing Analysis — Competitive benchmarking, packaging structure analysis, and recommendations for leadership. You inform the decisions, you don’t make them.
Content & Competitive Positioning — Case studies, vertical positioning, blog content, competitive battle cards, win/loss analysis, demo scripts and objection handling.
Partner Acquisition & Enablement — Product positioning that helps us win partners, and the tools that help partners sell: decks, ROI calculators, co-branded content, onboarding materials.
Market & Competitive Insight — Tracking competitor moves, how Yabie appears in AI-generated answers, forums and review sites, and customer interviews for positioning validation.
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves: 3–5 years in B2B product marketing (preferably SaaS or fintech). Strong writer who produces finished copy. Experience building sales enablement or marketing materials from scratch. Comfortable owning the full scope in a small team. Fluent in Swedish and English. Can translate technical capabilities into commercial value propositions.
Strong signals: Experience in payments, POS, or SMB tech. Lifecycle comms experience. Familiarity with partner/channel models. Has worked with packaging, pricing analysis, or competitive benchmarking. Has produced case studies end-to-end.
What the right person looks like: You move between strategy and execution in the same week. You’re comfortable building things that don’t exist yet, and you’d rather ship something useful and iterate than polish in isolation.
